How did the book do in Iceland, the country of origin?

FlyingFather's Big Secret came out in the end of October 2007 and sold out the first edition. The book was officially launched in the center of Reykjavik city with an exhibition of 16 selected illustrations from it. This was a successful promotional event which the author aims to repeat when the book is published in other languages.

A very favorable buzz started after the book was a mentioned on a late night talk show on Iceland's secondary television channel, Stod 2, in the end of november. This was followed by several interviews with the author in the leading papers, journals and television shows. One commentator called the author The new Roal Dahl. Finally an impressive amount of good reviews appeared.
